Marlene embodies the breadth and depth of experience that Evolution Capital Partners brings to both our investors and our business owner partners. Marlene was recruited by Ernst & Young out of college in 1982, earned her CPA license in 1984, and spent the next 13 years studying and mastering industry best practices from within one of the worldwide leaders in corporate finance and accounting. To expand her sphere of influence within growing organizations, Marlene transitioned into a progressive series of diverse executive leadership roles, serving as CFO at McDonald Securities, Inc. and Quality Synthetic Rubber, Inc., as well as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at environmental services leader Wastequip, Inc., before joining the Evolution team as CFO in 2010.
Having served in various strategic roles within both regional and global firms, Marlene brings an instinctive and refined financial fluency to every company challenge, whether large or small, public or private. This same expertise enables her to provide real-world guidance to Evolutions’ portfolio companies, as they transition from micro firms with high potential, to mid-market firms structured and scaled for accelerated growth.
Outside the office, Marlene enjoys traveling, cooking, and reading. Marlene and her husband live in the eclectic Edgewater Park neighborhood of Cleveland.
